EarBuds Sports is part of the EarBuds Sonic Universe of podcast recommendation newsletters curated by Arielle Nissenblatt🎧. This newsletter aims to deliver weekly sports podcast recommendations.
Sometimes, we’ll share episodes that lean towards storytelling, sometimes they’ll be about sporting events and games, and sometimes, they’ll be about the history of athletics and sports media.

This week’s list of podcast recommendations is curated by Chris Colbert of DCP Entertainment, who says:
I am a sports enthusiast who also happens to be partnered with an organization (The Players Lounge, or TPL) that helps college student athletes produce their own podcasts.
Chris brings us a list of some amazing college athlete-hosted podcasts. He “love[s] that TPL is empowering current and former college athletes of various sports to be able to control their own narrative and go beyond the Xs and Os.”

TPL Georgia
I’m a huge Georgia fan, so I love getting to hear directly from the current athletes at UGA, as well as standout former players like Knowshon Moreno and Aaron Murray.
Round Up On Rocky Top
Tennessee may be an SEC rival, but I enjoy going behind enemy lines to learn about this team. I now oddly find myself rooting for UT at times because I’m now so invested in the stories of these players.
Trusons Podcast Show
It’s been really cool getting to hear from Jeremy Maclin and crew as Missouri has had one of their best college football seasons in years.
Mac & Murray College Football Show
Mac & Murray may be my favorite college sports analysis podcast. They are both commentators for ESPN, as well as hosts on the SEC and ACC network, respectively. Their analysis is so good! I truly walk away feeling smarter, and I definitely steal some of what I learn to apply to the flag football teams I play on.
Dawg National Daily
Like I said, I’m a Georgia fan, so when I can’t get enough Dawgs analysis, this is a great daily podcast to give me my fix.
